Rap&Hip-Hop: Are there any producers here who'd like to teach me more about producing?

Ok I want to produce some beats, especially since Im a rapper I want
to be able to say I compose most of my music. I downloaded FL Studio
and I can make a simple beat but not a badass one... and I dont know
if its even possible to make a badass beat off of the FL Studio demo
version anyway.

I have a bunch of different questions about the technicalities. And is
there any good free beat making software? Or is good free beat making
software a huge oxymoron? lol any producers out there want to help me
out?
