Ziegfeld meltdown

Despite its obvious L.A. backdrop, Warners preemed "Crazy Stupid Love"
in Gotham on Tuesday.

"I think this movie is really sophisticated and there's something
super sophisticated about having a premiere in New York," pic's scribe
Dan Fogelman said following the Ziegfeld screening.

Scribe, who wrote the script with Steve Carell in mind, saw his work
get off the ground in near-record time. Regarding that quick
turnaround, Carell was super modest, calling it just "lucky."

Not so lucky were moviegoers, trying their best to keep dry in the
sauna-like venue. It was so hot that pic's co-helmer John Requa said
he would be making a quick trip back to his hotel room to change into
more accommodating clothing.
