is van halen really in the studio recording their next album or is this just eddie feeding fans his usual bs?

i keep hearing scant details and/or rumors of van halen possibly
recording a new album with wolfgang on bass. but ed's son has been a
member of van halen for a few years now. the initial excuse for them
not putting out an album was that wolfie has to finish up high school
(why? i dont know...diplomas and college degrees are for average
folks,...not for the son of a global rock god who will inherit
millions someday)...but anyways...ed said it was always his dream to
have his son play music with him....well, i dont know what the heck ed
is waiting for? cause fans have waited far too long and have seen one
lead singer after another get bounced back and forth and in and out of
the band. ive heard that 2011 was supposed to be the definitive year
that a new album is supposed to come out...but nothing on the bands
website or on vhnd.com leads me to stoutly believe that a new album is
in the works...so i thought maybe some fan may know something that i
dont perhaps.
